I keep hearing that Clinique owns Almay (a product line in drugstores). Is this true? I am hearing yes and no, so I'm confused. Thanks.Almay and Clinque the same company?

almay is like a drugstore brand. they have good stuff, but its not top of the line
clinique, on the other hand, is a department store brand and its much more expensive and it is pretty top of the line
